The announcement

The ministry said 11 crore Farmer IDs had been created by 23 October, before the 31 March 2027 deadline. The programme sits within the Digital Agriculture Mission.

The identity is intended to reduce repeated verification for eligible farmers seeking scheme benefits, credit, insurance or relief. A programme goal does not mean every service is already available to every farmer.
